UOMI Studios didn’t begin with a business plan, a mood board, a long-term strategy or even as a brand.
It started with a deadline and a solution.
My car registration was due, and after leaving my professional office job, I set up a small market stall on my driveway in Avalon Beach. I didn’t have enough clothing to sell. So I did what I’ve always done when I need to figure something out. I made something.
I quickly put together a small collection of jewellery. Nothing overthought. Just pieces I liked, pieces I wanted wear, pieces that felt like art.
People noticed.
What began as a practical, creative decision, slowly turned into something else. A quiet, growing business shaped by word of mouth, reputation and desire to use my creative instinct. Over time and many long nights, creating every piece in my kitchen sitting at my island bench on an uncomfortable stool, UOMI STUDIOS became less about getting by and more about building something honest and lasting.
